Keep reading to hear my thoughts about the Kylie Skin Clarifying Collection

In August 2020, Kylie Jenner revealed that she was releasing a clarifying collection as the next new products for Kylie Skin. The collection consists of a detox face mask, a clear complexion correction stick, a clarifying facial oil, and a face mask brush. As someone who has loved all of their products, and, at the time was suffering with maskne, I really wanted to get my hands on this collection! I bought the full collection bundle ($75), and I have been using the products since they arrived. It's been about 5 months now, so I feel like I can now give a full review.

Detox Face Mask ~ $22

I've used this face mask quite a few times since it arrived, and I have to say I quite like it. I have very sensitive skin, and some face masks irritate me, but this one doesn't. The instructions say to leave it on for 10-30 minutes. I use it in the evening after I've (double) cleansed, as instructed, and leave it on for 15-20 minutes before rinsing off. I like to use it on my cheeks, t-zone (where I'm most oily), and my chin. It is fragrance-free and packed full of amazing ingredients:

  • Kaolin clay ~ helping to soothe and exfoliate the skin

  • Bentonite clay ~ helping to draw out skin impurities and rejuvenate the skin

  • Charcoal ~ deeply cleansing the skin and helping to absorb excess skin oils

  • Glycerin and sodium hyaluronate ~ rich in skin nutrients, helping to deeply moisturise and nourish the skin

  • Sea silt and fruit extracts ~ helping to nourish, brighten and condition the skin, and providing an optimal supply of minerals

This mask leaves my face feeling clean, smooth and soft, and really helps get rid of impurities, rejuvenating my skin. It doesn't leave my skin feeling stripped like other masks do. When I use the mask, and I've done the rest of my skincare routine, I honestly feel like my skin is so much softer. I use it 2-3 times a fortnight, and I have really seen a difference in my skin, based off this consistent use. A little really does go a long way, so the 50g of product will last a while. I really like this mask, and once I run out, I will definitely be repurchasing.

Clear Complexion Correction Stick ~ $15

I absolutely love this correction stick. If you've read my Maskne post, you'll know that this was my favourite spot treatments out of the three I tried to help clear up my breakouts. The serum is very gentle on the skin and helps to gently exfoliate the skin. I've tried other spot treatments which have stung a bit, such as the Mario Badescu drying lotion, and left me with dry skin, but this one is incredibly gentle and doesn't sting at all. The formula is also non-stripping, which is amazing. You get 5ml of product, which may not seem a lot, but it lasts a long time! It's been 5 months, and I'm still using the original stick I bought. You don't need to apply a lot, a little dab of product is more than enough. This little stick is fragrance-free and packed full of great ingredients:

  • Salicylic acid ~ a BHA exfoliant, helping with the appearance of texture and uneven skin tone

  • Glycolic acid ~ a naturally-occurring AHA, helping to gently lift dead skin cells to reveal fresher, smoother skin

  • Witch hazel ~ known for its anti-bacterial properties, this helps to soothe the skin

  • Tea tree oil ~ helping to calm the skin and promote clarity

I use this twice a day, when I have any breakouts, straight after cleansing (or after the detox mask, or exfoliator). I have had spots reduce in appearance overnight, and completely disappear within 2 days of using this product. I honestly love it so much! One thing I love about it, is that it is a clear gel serum. The fact that it is clear means that I can use it in the morning even when I'm going out for the day, unlike so many other spot treatments, such as the Mario Badescu drying lotion. The annoying thing is, it's rarely in stock! This is good because it means it's working for so many people, but I always miss when it restocks. The next time they restock, I'll definitely be buying a couple so that I have replacements for when mine runs out.

Clarifying Facial Oil ~ $24

I really like this facial oil. It doesn't clog my pores, or make me look too shiny. I have used this quite a lot skin it arrived, and I have already seen an improvement in my skin. It leaves my skin feeling so soft, smooth, brighter and glowing. You get 20ml of product, which may not seem like a lot for $24, however a little goes a long way. I only use 1-2 drops each time. This facial oil is fragrance-free and packed full of incredible ingredients:

  • Safflower oil ~ a light, non greasy oil, containing a high concentration of linolenic acid. It helps to balance sebum production and replenish essential skin moisture

  • Salicylic acid ~ a BHA exfoliant, helping with the appearance of texture and uneven skin tone

  • Licorice root extract ~ helping to brighten the skin

  • Skin clarifying oil blend ~ babassu oil, pomegranate oil, marula oil, and rosehip oil, help to soothe, nourish and balance the skin

I use this facial oil at least once a day. Most days I use it in both my morning and evening routine, but sometimes I only use it once. This was the first facial oil I've ever used, as I was always worried using an oil would clog my pores, and make me look even oilier. But the opposite happened. It didn't clog my pores, and after finally finding the right amount of oil to use, my skin stopped looking oily. I also didn't think facial oils were necessary, but I was wrong. It really helps to seal in all the moisture from my other products, helping them work more effectively. I use it just before I apply my SPF, and it's the last product I apply at night, unless I use a thick hydrating mask overnight. I'm so glad I gave this a chance, because I really do like it. I'll definitely be repurchasing when I run out.

Face Mask Brush ~ $14

I have to admit, I actually haven't used this face mask brush yet. It's just so soft and clean and I don't want to ruin it! It is made of soft synthetic fibres, and has a unique scoop shape, designed to pick up product easily. I have a silicone clay/mud mask brush from Sigma Beauty which I like to use instead, as its easy to clean. However, the Kylie Skin mask brush does look like it applies product really well. I will use it, just not yet!

Final Thoughts

I absolutely love this collection, and I think it is definitely worth the $75 price tag for the bundle. With each of the products, a little goes a long way, so they will last a while, meaning you don't have to keep repurchasing all the time. $75 might seem a little steep, but because a little goes a long way with all of the products, they last a while, and you don't need to keep repurchasing them all the time. The collection is suitable for all skin types, even sensitive skin. The detox face mask is great for ridding the skin of impurities and keeping it smooth. The clear complexion correction stick is just amazing! It gets rid of spots within days without drying out and stripping the skin. Finally, the clarifying facial oil is great at brightening the complexion and leaving you with a glow that doesn't look oily. Overall, I would definitely recommend this collection, and I will be repurchasing soon.
